The proceeds from the Bordertown III - Dancing Ferret event held on June 20, 1998 will be donated to charity.

all of our proceeds will go to Children of the Night, a non-profit organization that shelters and educates runaway children.

We are very glad to say that our Notice of Intention to Solicit Charitable Organizations with the Social Services Department of Los Angeles has been approved!

Every week 1000 children pour into Hollywood with nowhere to go. Naive and desperate, they are very easy prey for pimps and child pornographers. Most runaways are escaping from seemingly impossible home situations and are drawn to Hollywood by the perceived promises of bright lights, glamour and entertainment industry careers easily attained. These children come from every walk of life and from all over the world.

Children of the Night was established in 1979 by Dr. Lois Lee, out of a growing concern for runaway children who are forced into prostitution or pornography. The 24-bed shelter provides refuge, food and skilled counsel for abused teenagers as they await placement in a suitable environment. Services include food, clothing, emergency medical care, crisis intervention, academic assessment of English, math and social studies, foster home placement and a 24-hour hotline to help get exploited young girls and boys off the streets.
